About:

Amazing Facts About Australian Wildlife Conservation: Everything you need to know about conservation, from what it is and why it’s important, the impact of humans and introduced species, to a close look at different environments and types of animals.

Amazing Facts About Australian Marine Life: All sorts of marine species and plant life are featured in this book, together with explanations of terms and fascinating insights into the underwater worlds.

Amazing Facts About Australia’s Early Settlers: Australian history really is amazing, and this book gives us all the interesting bits. Beginning with the Aborigines and the First Fleet, we are taken right through to the settling of each state and territory, convicts, the gold rush and World War I. Also included are important people in our history and a look at fashion, politics, sport and life in different eras.

Each book in the Amazing Facts series is choc-full of information.

These are well-written reference books, filled with simple to understand facts for children who can’t get enough of learning about the world around them (i.e. ALL kids!). Each page features a summarised section with fast facts relevant to that topic.

Being Steve Parish books, they are also incredibly visually appealing. From the colour-coding of each section to clear and well-laid-out pages that contain a lot without being overly busy, kids open these books and can’t take their eyes away.

Oh, and did I mention the photography? Parish’s photographs are dotted throughout each page and they are, as always, simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.

These are high quality reference books that are invaluable to teaching children about Australian wildlife and history.

Kids will be poring over these books for hours on end, although that may depend on one thing: having the ability to pry them from the hands of the adults in their lives!
