Review: T-Rex's Terrible Tooth

Tyrone is a T-Rex with a terrible toothache. And there’s nothing worse than being a carnivore with an appetite for scrumptious, chewy meat, when it hurts to eat such delicacies.

A friendly brontosaurus offers to help Tyrone – after first insisting that Tyrone promise not to eat him! His advice is to eat some fruit and vegetables, and this fills the T-Rex up.

But things turn awry when Tyrone’s tooth comes out as he munches on a crunchy carrot. The pain he is in is terrifying… for a moment anyway.

And then the other dinosaurs begin to fear for their lives, if Tyrone is ready to eat meat again.

These dinosaurs are larger than life. The illustrations take up the entirety of the pages, with their bright colours, different types of dinosaurs and, most importantly, THOSE teeth.

Each dinosaur is given a unique personality, with eyes and features that show their emotions so well.

The rhyming story is lots of fun – both to read and listen to. Lots of exaggerated words and informal language makes for an entertaining and enjoyable reading session with young children.

T-Rex’s Terrible Tooth is a gorgeous story with lots of character.
